# It's whether you're worth knowing. This is the philosophy behind CUT TO: Hollywood. We've gotten a bit of flack for this tagline because at first glance it seems to stay that you might not be worth knowing. That's exactly the point we're trying to make—you might not be. But not in general as a human being on this planet. As a person competing in one of the most sought-after industries in the world (yes, still, despite the constriction of the industry). See, Hollywood, like any system, is really a game with a specific set of rules. And in an industry that's so relationship-centric, the primary rule is, "What can you do for me?" Which, kinda sucks. But that doesn't make it any less true. For the record, you just being alive as a human on this planet means you're worth knowing. Being a human means you have inherent value. And just the fact that you're alive means that if I were ever to meet you, I'd love to have a meal with you and talk about life. But Hollywood doesn't care about that. It cares if you can prove that you're talented, of course, but also that you have a reputation as someone worth putting our reputations on the line to repeatedly recommend you. You have to be able to show your value. And if you can't prove it, as far as this city is concerned, you don't have it. CUT TO: Hollywood is the only course of its kind that outlines the rules of the game. That shows you how to break in, and teaches the skills to stay in. It's very simple, but it's not very easy.
