There's a guy who lives in Australia whose name is Jesse Chapman. He seems like a nice enough guy. Still, I hate him. Mostly *not* because he has the website I've always wanted (which he does). But mostly because if you visit [jessechapman.com](http://jessechapman.com/), you'll find a big pile of fucking nothing: ![[Screenshot 2026-09-16 at 9.25.06 PM.png]] *Some Jesse Chapmans suck more than others.* The thing is, I emailed Jesse Chapman back in 2009 a very lovely and polite email. "I've been checking in at [jessechapman.com](http://jessechapman.com/) over the years. I'm very interested in obtaining that domain, but being a college student I have little money to offer. I'm wondering if me asking politely for the domain would be good enough. I promise to honor the Jesse Chapman name and create a wonderful website." He actually wrote me back within a few hours, saying, "I can understand where you are coming from, unfortunately I use the domain for the majority of my personal e-mail, and it also has a sentimental value that I am not willing to let go. I too had contacted the previous owners trying to purchase the domain, it eventually expired and I snatched it up." You see? He, too, contacted the previous owners trying to purchase the domain! We're the same! The fucking attitude of this guy. Kidding. He seems nice. Still, I hate him. Years went by. Still, every now and then, I email him to check in on the status of his non-existent website and if he'd ever be willing to part with it. His answer is always the same: no.
